Beech Grove Mayor Joe Wright sparred with an Amtrak official over the rail giant’s exemption from paying municipal property taxes.

At the request of Amtrak’s director of state and local government affairs Ray Lang, Wright and Beech Grove maintenance facility director Lew Wood met locally on April 21. It was Lang’s first-ever meeting with Wright.
