Good News for Stafford Riders!

Yesterday, the Stafford County Board of Supervisors met to approve their FY 2006 budget. Despite earlier indications, the Board ultimately did vote to fully fund the VRE subsidy. Consequently, when our fare increase proposal is brought to our parent commissions for a final vote next week, it will not include any extra increase for passengers riding from the zone 8 stations of Brooke and Leeland Road. The fares for these stations would be increased at the same rate as all of our other stations.
