CSV for this submission is here.

*1: 85 miles into this segment (18 from LAX, 8 from FUL), I'd gone 10,000 lifetime miles on Amtrak. Unimpressive unless you consider it's 6 miles at a time, and only over about 15 months tongue.gif
*2: the sixth/last of which was the Select-Plus-requalifying segment. One more year, yay!

BillMagee
For your bus ride Hanford to San Luis Obispo, I did a Google Map routing from Amtrak Hanford to Amtrak Paso Robles and then on to Amtrak SLO. That came up with 117 miles. That should be pretty close. You picked up two extra miles on your Capitol Corridor trips due to my database using timetable mileages in one direction, and the mileage in the other direction being one less.

Yeah, what stimulus package? I think based on the fares that Chris paid Amtrak alone in the past couple of months, they will live long and prosper. They probably should name a station after him as well! laugh.gif

Hehe you would think that. But about 75% of that trip was with the AGR points I've earned over the past 8 years. Never really have redeemed any. Plus Continental miles I had and all my Hilton points were transfered to help out. Now it will take another 8 years to build them up again. laugh.gif

Wow. A tear in the space-time continuum! I'll have to investigate and see if I can bring things back into normal time context.

Another trip to a hockey game. This time the home team lost in a good effort; got beat by a goalie on fire and their own All-Star goalie tanking (4 goals on only 7 shots). We fell out of the playoffs for the moment. Looks like I might not be going to playoff games and my miles will go down.

And, there's a stench of a points run in the air. $13 = 800 points. It had to be done.

If you're referring to my stench, the fare is now $7.50 each way; so I paid $13.50 with my discount.
In no way can I compare to chuljin and his points runs - he's got me beat by half biggrin.gif
And, I think it's only 400 points; though my next game should be 600

Or, maybe you were referring to your own stench.

That's definitely Bill's stench, one I've created myself quite a few times in taking small points runs on the relatively cheap Keystone Corridor to Paoli or other nearby stations like Downington and Coatesville. The beauty with hourly service is that you can pay $7.50 (or I believe $6.50 at certain times), and split the trip, having a meal at the split point, all for the same fare. so effectively you've doubled the points even more.

I signed-up for a targeted triple points offer that ran from January 1 to March 31. Then, I signed up for the Spring Promotion double points offer (triple points after four segments). Those two promotions both count. So, each PHL-PAO $6.50 segment earned the base 100 points, then my triple points offer added 200 bonus points, then the Spring double points offer added another 100 points. That's 400 points per segment: a total of 800 for the round trip. Had I been able to do a repeat ride today, I would have gotten quintuple points - triple and triple. Sadly, earning a living got in the way.

I was working at our downtown Philadelphia office yesterday, so the logistics were easy.

laugh.gif ... and the devil appears.
So I was going to burn off the extra nonsense tickets I'd bought during requalification time, and just do my 785 LAX-GDL every day (and my miscellaneous longer weekend trips), but then the Spring Promo appeared, so I march on, like the Sorcerer's Apprentice's mops. tongue.gif
