There was a devastating 8.8 earthquake in Chile this morning. I am trying to gather media information on the status of the Chilean Railway, Empresa de los Ferrocarriles del Estado (EFE). As of now the EFE website is down; and it's in Spanish anyhow.

There is also a Metro in Santiago. Their website is in Spanish as well. If anyone can translate the service alerts website, it would be appreciated. (Latter website has been sporadic)

Notwithstanding this effort to promptly restore its operations, the company sought the understanding of its users for any delays that may occur in the operation in this unique circumstance. Status of Line 5 for tomorrow will be notified later.
