As folks begin to make their way - mostly - westward, I'd like to thank Kevin for his good work on the imminent Fest and wish one and all fine, fun, and safe journeys.

Looking forward to seeing, and riding with, y'all in and around the Emerald City!

Thanks. Our cross country trips are always interesting, especially those where a number of us are going together. The way things tiurned out this time, many of us are starting out alone and won't really be assembled as a larger group until Chicago (and the same goes for the eastbound trips; we split up in Chicago and end up on 3 different routings to our east coast destinations).

The report may very well begin & end in Chicago, but if anyone wants to recount their travels east of there, feel free to take plenty of notes! smile.gif And that goes too for the contingent who will be approaching the PNW and leaving there via the Coast Starlight.

As a unmostly, the first leg east is done and I at Evan's House, I look forward to the north Leg and joining with everyone.

How do I get Christine to receive the messages being sent?

I'll be sending to Twitter (availble to members & non-members alike) constantly, and if she's a member she can also search on the #otol hashtag.

Odds are that on evenings we aren't aboard long distance trains, somebody will provide a daily update on this board.
