Delays and Service Cancellations Affect Trains Traveling through Virginia
June 11, 12 and 13, 2012
Signal maintenance work being performed by CSX Transportation will affect select trains that travel through Virginia, as described below:
Monday, June 11, 2012 Only
Trains Delayed Traveling through Ashland
Trains traveling through Ashland may encounter delays of up to 60 minutes on June 11, 2012. The delays will affect all Northeast Regional service, including Trains 66 and 67, Carolinian Trains 79 and 80, Palmetto Train 89 and 90, Silver Star Trains 91 and 92 and Silver Meteor Trains 97 and 98.
Train 89 Delays
On June 11, 2012, Trains 79 and 89 will operate as one train from New York to Richmond. The combined train will operate according to the schedule of Train 79. As a result, passengers aboard Train 89 may experience delays of approximately one to two hours.
Trains 94 and 95 Canceled
Train 94 will be canceled on June 11, 2012 from Newport News to Washington. Passengers boarding at Newport News and Williamsburg will be provided motorcoach service directly to Washington, where they may board the northbound train. Motorcoach service will not be provided at stations from Richmond to Alexandria. Passengers may contact Amtrak for other Northeast schedule options to and from these stations. Connecting Thruway Motorcoach 6094 will also be canceled on June 11, 2012.
Train 95 will be canceled from Washington to Newport News on June 11, 2012. Passengers may contact Amtrak for train and motorcoach schedule options. Connecting Thruway Motorcoach 6095 will also be canceled on June 11, 2012.

Trains Delayed Traveling Through Ashland
All trains will operate normally, but may encounter delays of up to 30 minutes traveling though Ashland on June 12 and 13, 2012.
