Transition to New Rail Schedules Begins Monday, July 16

DART will begin a two-week transition to new Orange Line rail service on Monday, July 16. Trains will begin operating on their new schedules on that day. The bus service change is scheduled for July 30. We advise riders using trains or making bus-train connections to check the new train schedules (available July 9) and note any differences from current trip times.

This transition is the final phase of our operator training and transit system preparation prior to the opening of the Orange Line between Bachman and Irving Convention Center stations on Monday, July 30. Orange Line highlights DART service changes coming July 30

Dallas Area Rapid Transit's long-anticipated Orange Line to Irving opens July 30, bringing with it a new era of choices and numerous changes for passengers throughout the region.

The opening of the first phase of the Orange Line, a 5.4-mile section from Bachman Station to Irving Convention Center Station, provides easy access to arts, education, entertainment and businesses while adding three new stations to the DART rail system: University of Dallas, Las Colinas Urban Center and Irving Convention Center.

DART preps for Orange Line's July 30 opening

Final preparations are under way for Dallas Area Rapid Transit's (DART) July 30 opening of the Orange Line light-rail service.

The new rail schedule will begin July 16 and new stations will open July 30, DART officials said in a prepared statement.
