IDOT supports, but can’t help fund, Southeast commuter rail line

LANSING | Illinois Department of Transportation officials who work with public transportation projects say they see merit in the development of a new commuter rail line from downtown Chicago to Crete.

But what they cannot do these days is provide any funding that could help such a project get started.
