Severe Weather Causing overhead wire problems on Metro-North Railroad's New Haven Line
Amtrak Northeast Corridor service is temporarily suspended between Penn Station in New York and New Haven, Ct, due to overhead wire and signal issues along Metro North's New Haven line in Port Chester, New York.
All Amtrak trains traveling at the time of the outage, have been returned to their nearest stations.
Earlier severe weather in the area resulted in several downed trees along the affected route and Metro-North crews are now working to clear the debris from the line, with no immediate estimate for resumption of operations.
Service between New York and Washington, DC is not affected.
