Possible Delays on the Manassas Line

Norfolk Southern has just advised us that speed restrictions are in place between Clifton and Manassas on the Manassas Line due to track maintenance. As a result, train speed has been reduced in this area and delays of up to 10 minutes are expected to occur south of Burke Centre.

Norfolk Southern has indicated that they expect to finish the track work in the VRE service area early this week. We anticipate that these slow orders will no longer occur after Tuesday's evening service.

Delays on the Fredericksburg Line

CSX has just informed us that they are experiencing signal problems between Franconia/Springfield and Quantico. A signal maintainer is en route. However, as a result, Fredericksburg line trains are expected to be delayed about 20 minutes in this area. We will provide updates as necessary.
