This page provides information on the Acela 2nd Generation high-speed trainsets. The page presently has the configuration of both pre-production and production trainsets which have been shipped to the NEC. Revenue service is expected to begin spring of 2025.

Trainset #1: Testing began at Pueblo, CO, in early 2020. Testing was completed in April 2021, and the trainset was moved to Hornell, NY, for completion. Trainset #2: Arrived in Philadelphia for NEC testing on March 18, 2020. It was returned to Alstom/western New York, not necessarily Hornell, for completing field modifications and then being held in long-term storage.
